A Giant Game of Tetris

Started major packing today. Which included repacking boxes packed back in January, due to not being full enough. I guess when you use professional movers, they don't care how heavy the box is, just that is is full and won't crush. Works for me :).
Then we moved packed boxes from one side of the basement to the other. It was like a giant game of tetris, getting them all to fit in a space, and getting things to fit in the boxes. Oh what fun!

Tomorrow it continues, until well, the end of the month, when the truck comes. Thankfully we don't actually have to carry everything from the basement to the truck. Totally looking forward to that this time.

We've taken care of every move ourselves, execpt hiring a local moving company for the heavy furniture that won't fit in our vechicles. This is new to me getting to use movers. If we weren't moving to the other side of the mountains, I'm sure we wouldn't be using movers. I'm super excited we don't have to drive a giant trailer rental truck through the mountains!

At some point I will take a photo of the boxes, and the way I've chosen to organize them. I've gotten really into organizing lately. So I started a binder, with labels, and I'm really hoping this move goes smoother than the rest. I'll let you know ;)

I'm going to go spend some time with The Lord via The Word.

Good Night

March 1, 2015

It has to start at some point

So...we have finished our regular travel hockey season. AB played great! He had a great season and learned/improved so much! We, because you know I'm part of the team too (mom, taxi, manager, laundry-doer) had our first league loss today, it was rough. It was a great game, and the other team deserved the win, they played hard all season as well, and only got their first loss of the season, yesterday, from us. :)

With this being the end of something, it's making things set in, that things here in Ohio are ending. This stage of my life is ending. We are moving. We are moving away from friends. From family. From Life as we know it.

We were given a good bye party today at our Life Group (church community group) meeting as well. While I know I will still see these people, more before we move, it was sad to think another end. Two in one day.

The start of the end is here.
